16% increase in kiwi trading worldwide

Kiwi season ended successfully for both producers and exporters this year, with its positive results being shared worldwide.
During the period of October 2014 - May 2015, the numbers showcase that 9,220 tons of kiwi, that is 87% of exports, were distributed all around the world, an increase of 16% compared to last year’s numbers.
The countries that show the biggest increase are Canada with 140 tons - 3 times higher than last year, China with a +5%, Spain with 1,400 tons –a number 4 times higher than last season's, and last but not least, Lebanon with an impressive +60%. The new countries appearing in the kiwi trading map are Indonesia with 115 tons, Ireland with 610 tons and Germany with 200 tons.
