Each spring, the blossoming cherry trees transform the Greek landscape. The cherry trees tend to hold their flowers for about two weeks, during the process of fructification.
This year, due to particular weather conditions -mild winter and spring, especially in March- the blossom of the cherry trees began 17 days earlier than last year, meaning 10 days earlier than usual. According to this prediction, the harvest of the first cherry varieties, such as Crystalina or Larian, will begin in late May, around the 25th.
