A new agricultural promotion policy, titled “Enjoy, it’s from Europe” was adopted the 1st of December 2015. The policy was created in order to help the sector’s professionals break into the international markets –or reinforce their presence there. The policy's second goal is to raise awareness among European customers about the efforts made by European farmers.
According to the new rules, the EU co-financing rates will rise, from 50% to 70% or even 85% (the rates for Greece and Cyprus will go up to 85%). Altogether, the program offes 110 millions to promote European agriculture, with the Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Phil Hogan stating also that "the 110 billion EU export market creates jobs and growth in rural areas across Europe".
